"Captain Christopher Nilsen Rickard had rocketed to promotion after distinguishing himself in action. No-one doubted his courage but was he experienced enough to guide the Eagle-class cruiser Emputin and its crew into an unknown and potentially hostile space zone?"

"This all-action novel moves at lightening pace. It takes science-fiction into new realms of fantasy, adventure and swashbuckling drama."

This is the first published novel by this author who later specialised in historical writing and research, genealogy, and transport history. All remaining copies of the book are signed and have been stored from new in ideal conditions. Each hardback copy of the book is in pristine condition, with bright white pages, all unmarked, and a three-tone colour dust jacket that is entirely unblemished.

Totalling 377 pages, with one hand-drawn full page illustration by the author. Buy your copy from the author's own personal stock of copies rather than pay marked-up prices elsewhere. The novel is only available in hardback, as a paperback edition was never released (despite claims to the contrary). These remaining copies are the last unspoiled, unused, and unmarked ones available anywhere, so pick up your copy before stocks run out.

Earl Mountbatten of Burma played a leading role in many of the great events of the twentieth century. He served as the last viceroy of imperial India, supreme commander South-East Asia during the Second World War, and was a key member of the Royal Family in Britain.

This 222-page book traces his life in text and a large number of photos, mostly black and white with some colour plates. The book is generally in very good condition, with no marks, creases or damage to the front or spine. There is a little yellowing to the edges of internal pages and the fly cover, but the book is unmarked and a very informative and interesting read as it charts the life of Mountbatten through the course of most of the last century.

"Catherine Cookson's previous collection of essays and poems, Let Me Make Myself Plain, was published in response to the enthusiastic reception of a series of late-night radio Epilogues. Now, following the remarkable success of that volume, she has compiled a further selection of thoughts, recollections, and observations on life - and death - together with another collection of the poems she prefers to describe as 'prose on short lines'."

Hardback edition of this book published in 1995 complete with printed dust jacket, with some slight bleaching on spine, but no other blemishes, folds or marks. Inside, the pages are unmarked but a little yellowed with age. There is a full colour, full page photo of the authoress on one of the inside pages, and a red ribbon bookmark that is sewn into the spine.
